US Court set to gift Nigerian fraudster Hushpuppi a Lover’s Day gift

Popular Nigerian instagram celebrity Ramona Abbas alias Hushpuppi might be sentenced on February 14, 2022 same day the World is celebrating feast of saint Valentine also known as Lovers day. According to BBC Pidgin, this was confirmed by the Director of Media relations, Thom Mrozek of US Attorney’s Office of the Central District of California. Huspuppi was arrested last year by a team of FBI and Interpol officers in Dubai and was extraditted to the United States.   According to sources Hushpuppi had pleaded guilty to internet fraud, money laundery, and cyber crimes. A plea agreement was signed by Hushpuppi, his lawyer, Loius Shapiro, Acting US Attorney, Tracy Wilkison, amongst others.

If sentenced, Hushpuppi stands the risk of spending over 20 years in jail. He was accused alongside North Korean military hackers, Jon Chang Hyok, Kim Il, and Park Jin Hyok, a Canadian colleague.
